Helicobacter pylori Antigen im Stuhl

• Verdacht auf Infektion mit Helcobacter pylori
• Erfolgskontrolle nach Eradikationstherapie (frühestens 4 Wochen nach Ende der Therapie)
• Ausschluss einer Reinfektion bei einer endoskopisch gesicherten Ulcus ventriculi-/- duodeni-Erkrankung
• Verdacht auf Ulcus ventriculi-/-duodeni bei Kindern
• Gegebenenfalls bei Patienten, die für eine Gastroskopie unzugänglich sind (insbesondere Kinder).

Spezifischer Nachweis von Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)-Antigen (bakterieller Eiweißstoff) im Stuhl. Die Einnahme von Protonenpumpeninhibitoren (PPI) beeinflussen den Test negativ und sollten daher 2 Wochen zuvor abgesetzt werden. Die Stuhlprobe darf nicht älter als 24 Stunden sein und sollte in diesem Zeitraum bei Kühlschranktemperatur gelagert werden.
